STAMFORD —When Stamford teacher Luciana Lira took in the newborn brother of one of her students to protect him from COVID-19, it touched hearts and made headlines around the world.
The story is now featured in an episode of “Frontline” called “Love, Life & the Virus.”
As part of its Welcoming Week, the Stamford-based nonprofit Building One Community, which played a role in the journey of baby Neysel’s family, will offer a free virtual screening on Thursday of the documentary in partnership with “PBS Frontline” and Stamford Health Medical Group.
