Stamford-based Building One Community responds to coronavirus crisis

STAMFORD — During an average week, Building One Community focuses on helping hundreds of immigrants learn English and gain the skills and services needed to succeed.

But last week, the nonprofit’s staff and volunteers found themselves delivering food, diapers and Tylenol to grateful families rocked by the COVID-19 virus’s crushing effect on their jobs, health, and hopes for the future.
