Why Make a Planned Gift to Building One Community?
Our country is built on the determination and hard work of immigrants. Now more than ever, they are an increasingly important part of the fabric of our society and the role they play in our community will continue to grow.
Building One Community (B1C) is successfully advancing the integration of immigrants and their families as they make Connecticut their home. You can be proud of your support for B1C knowing you are providing skills training, educating, ensuring fair treatment, and supporting hardworking individuals at the point where they uniquely need it most. This is life-changing work, and we can’t do it without you.
With a planned gift to B1C, you can integrate your financial and philanthropic goals. Continue to support immigrants and their families while building a strong, equitable and diverse community for years to come.
Visionary Leaders
B1C Visionaries are those philanthropic leaders who make a bequest or other planned gift commitment, or contribute an outright gift of endowment to B1C.
- By becoming a B1C Visionary, you will:
- Make an Impact. With a bequest or other planned gift, your philanthropy can play a significant role in advancing progress for immigrants in our community in a sustained way.
- Inspire the Community. As a recognized B1C Visionary, your leadership and commitment will help to inspire others to follow in your footsteps. With your permission, we will share your name in our annual report and other materials.
- Participate in special leadership events. If interested, deeply engage with our staff and partners to explore important trends, policies and developments impacting Fairfield County’s immigrant community through events and seminars as a guest of B1C.
- Achieve your philanthropic goals. Through a close relationship with you and our network of experienced professional advisors, we can help to ensure that your financial planning meets your philanthropic vision and goals.
Ways of Giving
One of the easiest ways to make a significant impact is with an Estate Gift. A bequest or other form of planned gift supports programs or facilities, adds capacity or supports key initiatives to benefit immigrant individuals and families. You may designate your planned gift for a particular purpose or program, for endowment, or without restriction for B1C to use in its discretion for needs that must be met at the time we receive the payment from your estate.
- Make a bequest.
Leave a gift of cash, securities or other assets such as real property by making a bequest in your will or trust. This allows you to make a generous gift, which will not compromise your lifestyle. - Name us as a beneficiary.
Name B1C as a beneficiary of your life insurance or retirement plan. It’s easy – and can minimize the impact of estate and income taxes.
