Stamford nonprofit offers free immigration counseling

STAMFORD -

A free immigration clinic was held with volunteer attorneys Friday morning in Stamford to offer information about citizenship and deportation to immigrants in the community.

Building One Community, a nonprofit organization that seeks to support immigrants, organized the event as an outlet for those who may need information but aren’t sure where to go.

News 12 Connecticut is told that some of the items discussed at the clinic included the process of applying for citizenship and creating an emergency plan in the case of extreme situations.
