STAMFORD — It’s a sign of the times that the Vigil for School Safety and an End to Gun Violence set for this Sunday was first planned four months ago, before 34 people were killed in three separate mass shootings over the past two weeks in Gilroy, El Paso and Dayton.
“It’s even more profound now because of everything that’s gone on,” said Kathi Bacchi, a member of the Stamford-based Episcopal group, Working Beyond the Walls, that’s planning Sunday’s school safety event.
